What does Casey County need to do to improve in 2011? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Rebels are coming of the best season in school history as they finished with an 8-4 mark and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. There was some loss of depth, but there is some remaining talent let at the skill position. QB Will Hatter is a four year starter, tailback Alex Bolin returns as one of the teams best rushers, while Tyler Hayes and James Burton should be two of Hatter's favorite targets when Casey goes to the air. Long-time coach Andy Stephens has departed for an assistant's position at Southwestern and first year coach Sam Marple returns to the helm of Casey.

 

The toughest thing for Casey is realignment which results in annual match-ups with Corbin and Bell County. Still, the Rebels will get a boost of enthusiasm from their new coach and will ride some of the momentum gained from last year and should make another trip to the playoffs come November.

How big is their only line? They better get ready for the Death Valley Bowl against SK!

Casey Could have a good year or falter a little with loss of Coach. Time will tell. IMO Casey Co., and McCreary Central will play for #4 Seed in Dist.

Seriously, they have some nice sized kids on the line, but need some more depth. They are frantically getting ready for the season...not just one opponent. My guess would be that they are more concerned with Bell, Corbin, Wayne, and McCreary than they are Simon Kenton.

Casey County lost a few pieces and they have a new coach. They should be pretty solid but will no doubt be a huge underdog against a 6A foe in the first game of the season. So while they certainly are preparing to play well against Simon Kenton, they are also installing things that can pay dividends on down the line.
