I'd bet most drug users started out with cigarettes, alcohol or both before they tried weed. You'd be surprised at the number of really successful people who smoke weed. I know quite a few myself.

I don't personally know anyone (outside of my parents, and I've never asked them), that hasn't smoked weed before.

 

Let me rephrase, I've never asked anyone that has said they haven't at least tried weed. None went on to do any other drugs.

They probably start out with weed because it is way easier to get as a kid. It's alarming how many that I know as well and none do any other drugs that I know of.

I totally agree with you. As a kid (which I still kind of am but talking about when I was like 9 to 15) I always thought it was taboo and no one should do it because it is downright bad and it will lead you to be a bum. I am older now and I see a lot of the people in the 'professional' workforce do it. I also think it is getting more popular with people who did it as a teenager or college student and adults are going back to it. Just from my personal experience.

I can agree with a lot of what you're saying. I've been pretty busy with work and some other things, but I'll have to go back and see if I can't find the study data.

Move to a dry county. Weed is either A) cheaper B) much easier to obtain or C) both. Bootlegger's charge an arm and a leg. Pot dealers don't ask for an ID.
