What did you do after college?

Featured Replies

I moved to Merida, Yucatan, Mexico for a year. I opened a language academy there. I lived 15 min. from the beach and 2 hours from Cancun. It was a pretty sweet set up, especially during the "winter."

trying to connect the dots...UK, Kokomo, Marquette?

I was registered at IUK for the fall semester, but was laid off and moved to Milwaukee before that could happen. Instead, I ended up at Marquette after I recouped tuition from my moving expenses.

Worked at the Kentucky Derby Museum for a year. Went to law school. Having my five-year college reunion this summer. I'm pretty well still in my "first few years out of college."

I was co-oping for a homebuilder for my last semester of college, and I took on a full-time position as a superintendent once I graduated. Worked there until some "issues" arose regarding said homebuilder and the legality of some of their subcontractors (I think most of you know what/who I'm talking about) and I decided it was the appropriate time to make my move to commercial construction. I've been working as a commercial project manager ever since.

Taught HS English at Silver Grove HS for a year, coaching basketball and baseball. Left after a year and taught at Ludlow for a year and then decided teaching wasnt for me. I got on as an inside sales rep for a Microsoft Technical Training center and from that point on have been in sales for 14 yrs.

I have been working as a nurse for 33 years and a mom for 22.
