The dust will need to settle from the Tressell departure before the trigger would be pulled on Meyer. You do not go from one coach that puts you on probation to another with their own violations. Well, USC does but that is for another thread.

Yes, and was rumored before while at Florida; I was being sarcastic. See post 11 where I said I don't see it happening. I think he enjoys being on tv with the guys at ESPN alot more flexibility.

I would think if given the choice Ohio State would be a better coaching job than Notre Dame for Meyer.

I think Meyer would rather be at OSU, but I wouldn't put him past waiting on Notre Dame. He's turned it down, but I don't think he wanted to straight up leave UF for anywhere because of the PR hit. He stated he took UF over ND because he could be closer to home to recruit to be closer to his kids. They're older, 2 in college and Notre Dame could still come calling in the future. He's stated on the record that Notre Dame would be a place he'd like to retire at.

 

Still, I'd say he's at OSU within 2 or 3 years.

I think he will end up there before long.

If Ohio State does not get into a lot of trouble, I look for Meyer to be there within that timeframe if not sooner.
