How many innings did he pitch on Friday?

He also just pitched a complete game tonight against Dixie Heights. Hopefully his arm will be alright come tourney time.

How many innings did he pitch on Friday?

 

I was told he went seven with well over 100 pitches on Friday. He then closes on Tuesday and went again last night. These early season games must mean a lot to someone.

Before everyone says what Teegarden pitched and did not pitch here are his TOTAL INNINGS so far this year.

 

3/21 - vs. St. Henry - 4 IP

3/25 - vs. PRP - 7 IP

3/29 - vs. Beechwood - 1 IP

3/31 - vs. Dixie - 7 IP

 

Do y'all really think Coach Schweitzer being a former pitcher is really going to over throw a kid this early in the season? Teegarden did not throw a lot of pitches last night even with throwing 7 innings against Dixie.

You rarely hear of someone throwing seven innings in March.

I thought once someone pitched 7 inn they need 4 calendar days of rest. Doesn't seem like he got that. 26th is one, 27th is two, 28th is three and 29th is four......now I can pitch on the 30th. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm quite sure you would have heard about the Dixie coach filing a protest with the KHSAA by now if rules had been broken. Wasn't this thread about Campbell beating Beechwood, which is what happened. Campbell County beat Beechwood, then they come back last night and beat Dixie. It seems to me there should be so much more to talk about than the pitching rotation of the Camels. A kid the Camels are trying to make a pitcher holds Beechwood to three runs in three innings, Beechwood finally got to him. Then the Camels bring in a sophomore next to pitch against Beechwood, he didn't have a great outing. The Tigers score 10 runs off these two. The Camels score 5 off the Beechwood starter, then continue their scoring on the Beechwood relievers. Camels 11 - Beechwood 10. And this thread gets turned into how the 9 region faithful don't like the Pitching rotation of the Camels. The Beechwood game was the third game the Camels played after the PRP game which Teegarden pitched on Friday. PRP on Friday, Boone County and South Warren on Saturday, Beechwood on Tuesday. I think Campbell County 11- Beechwood 10 and Campbell County 4 Dixie 3, is bothering more people than Teegardens pitching.

Those are definitely two very nice wins for Campbell County. Dixie and Beechwood are both strong contenders for the 9th region title and Dixie is probably the favorite to win it. So kudos to the Camels on getting the season off to an exciting start.

The fact that CC won those games does not bother me at all. I could care less if the Camels go undefeated. It does not bother me that the Camels beat BW. It does ,to me, seem like a lot of innings this early in the season. JMO. I would not hang your hat on any victory over any team this early in the season. Congrats on the good start to the season and best of luck the rest of the way. These two victories should carry the Camels far this season.

These wins are pretty much meaningless except for the win, loss line and team morale. I don't hang my hat on anything. It's a game being played by teenagers, anything can happen. JMO, I don't think anyone expected the Camels to be playing this well, except the Camels. My thing is there was not one post in this thread about what the Camels did well or didn't do well. Same goes for what Beechwood did well or what they didn't. I believe Gohs was brought back in to pitch on short rest in this game as well. However that is not what the thread is about. No talk about the game. Mostly critical comments about the Camels pitching choices and how many times the Tigers had the bases loaded or how many home runs the Tigers hit. Or how the Camels were shut out by the Tigers starting pitcher, oh, except for that one inning where he was touched for 5 runs including a home run. Very, very little credit given to the Camels for the win or the two kids that pitched before Teegarden. As well no reasons as to why the Tigers were not able to pull this game out, considering they played so much better than the Camels. The Camels pitchers are on a pitch count, everyone of them. Some more than others. Not an inning count. Teegarden didn't throw his bull pen pitches, he instead threw 17 pitches in the last inning of the Beechwood game. If he had thrown his 30 pitches in the bull pen would everyone be saying that was a poor decision. There is no one that wants to keep their pitchers healthy more than the Camels coaching staff. Teegarden may be our ace, however he is not the pitching staff. We have other pitchers that have had very nice outings this year. Done :deadhorse:

Congrats to Campbell on a great start to the season and some very quality wins. They appear to be a solid ballclub.

 

That being said, 19 innings in 10 days in cold weather in mid/late March does appear to be quite a bit.

People arent used to Campbell County being very good so that says why there is already 30 posts on this topic. Lets see how good they are at the end of the season.
