Shelby Valley position

We'll have to hope it's because the "SV leadership" doesn't believe he'll make an effective head coach.

But they allow him to rule the roost from the comments on here. When an assistant is forced on a head coach and he is allowed to coach whatever he wants, it makes for a bad situation for the team and coaching staff. To top it off he is being disloyal to the head coach, by putting down what he is trying to accomplish. If I was the head coach he would be relieved of his duties immediately.

Of course that is when the politics plays a part.

Yeah, it kinda makes you wonder how the Wildcats might have done had the Head Coach not been distracted by all this! :thumb:

WHAT???? To be honest I'm not sure what you are trying to say??? Please explain :creepy:

First....Comments on HERE??? Why??

I understand that we all have our opinions BUT GEES??

Head Coaches or Administrations SHOULD have thick skin unless there's something to hide??

Is that where Bubba Combs is from or was he from Betsy Lane? Great young coach and great guy! A guy like him is what that program could use.

He was from Betsy Layne, stick. :thumb:

That's what I thought. He would still be a great guy to get back in that area! Isn't he coaching college ball somewhere right now?

He was made to keep an unnamed person on the coaching staff who wanted the head job (this is the leadership at SV we were talking about). This man talking bad about Hampton every chance he got trying to gain support for himself. All of the parents that I know stated that they would not let their children play for this unnamed person.

So I guess going to the playoff's in your first year as a head coach is not enough. You have to know the right person. This bringing in a "Outside Coach" is just a ploy! They (SV Leadership) just want to smooth things over with their buddies I guess. I would say that whoever gets the job will have to allow this unnamed person on the staff and have full control of whatever area he covers? Which imo is a joke! This guy I am talking about is so arrogant that when he coached at lower levels he made parents sign a contract not to talk to him about their children, or they could not play.

Read this and see if you don't get the same thing about the assistant coach there.

Actually he went back to high school....citing that college coaching isn't family oriented and when he wanted to start having children he wouldn't be able to spend much time with them. And that is not Bubba. He is a family man. I do know that he is looking for a head coaching position. ;)

Does Bubba know the Betsy Layne job is open?

I don't think he does, but if he did I don't think he would apply. The administration doesn't care about the program.

Might want to let Coach Jackson decide his own staff decisions there Mountainmojo.

Just saying Hampton is a good young coach, IMO. He made the best out of the whole Ben Howard situation that could have been disasterous. Id guess Hawood wouldnt have a problem with him being on his staff either.

Howard was named the head coach last spring. He left the team, however, before fall practice began for personal medical reasons.

As Forrest Gump said "thats all I have to say about that"

Why isn't this Unnamed person the head coach then? There has to be a reason.

Ive just heard from an extremely reliable source deep with in the bowels of the SV political machine that this "Unamed Person" was getting the SV job. Dont even get me started on this "Unamed" idiot.
