Darius Miller, SEC Tournament MVP

I agree 100,000%. Could you imagine if there is a lockout and no draft this year? I'd put Knight, Lamb, Jones, Miller, Liggins, Gilchrist, Davis and Teague up against anyone in the country. I'm starting to think Knight could turn into a mini-Kemba Walker next year if he would stay, though I'm not going to put him on Wall's level as some have.

All I can say is Coach Cal is the man. Never doubted the man as a coach, but I will say that I thought this year was just a bridge but it's looking like it could be more. Good & bad thing about the tourney is its a one and done type of deal, one bad night could end the season. But that goes for everyone.

You keep up with this stuff so that is why I'm asking. If there is a lockout wouldn't they still have a draft?

I'm happy for him but didn't he turn it on late last year and have a great last couple games and SEC tournament only to disappear in the NCAA tournament?

I'm not stating this as fact, but if there is a lockout and no NBA draft...I don't think we are going to be getting guys like Gilchrist, Davis, and Teague.

Haven't they already signed their National Letter of Intent?

20, 9, and 2 in the 3 NCAA games.

I've been hard on Miller most of the year, but he's really played well as of late & I have to give him his due. He's been our go-to-guy in the last 2-3 weeks & I couldn't be happier for him.

I wasn't sure if they all did, that's why I said I wasn't stating it on fact. I figured those players would have handled it the same way our freshman class this year did...wait to see what happens to the studs already at UK.

If they already signed their LOI, then nevermind.

Darius Miller has been one of my favorite Wildcats and he's also been one of the most frustrating, only because of the mix of potential and inconsistency. But, it really looks like he is developing into a leader for the team and that is huge. His play down the stretch run of the season has been rock solid. He's finally being aggressive and looking for his shot. I love the fact that he has asserted himself in the post when the matchup is there.

It's great to see him get the MVP of the tournament, and also that Josh Harrelson made the All Tournament Team.

It certainly bodes well for next season, but forget about next season. If Miller keeps playing the way he has, UK is going to be a really tough out in the Big Dance, IMO.

Love me some Miller Time! Congrats Darius...

I'm not sure its a stat that anyone actually keeps track of, but I feel like he converts every time he gets the ball in the post.

He's easily the best offensive post player on the team. He's very effective down there. He was very effective as a post player in high school, so I never understood why he wasn't utilized in that role when the matchup presented itself. I don't know if it was coaching, or if Miller just wasn't assertive enough, but I'm glad it has been fixed. He's not John Wall, but he can drive the ball, he can knock down open threes and he can post up smaller defenders. I've also always been a fan of his mid-range game. He presents problems for opposing teams, especially the way he's playing right now.

All four have signed.
