Dixie Heights vs Highlands 3/3 (9th Region 1st Round) Predictions

Featured Replies

I'm sure that they are not the same team and no disrespect to the Bluebirds, but are they 15 - 20 points better than they were in December?

Highlands was 33 pts better against NCC than the first time they played. Birds had ample opportunities to win. Think this game will be a battle.

The Birds are really playing well right now. Dixie is a beast though....Hmmmmm---Birds by 2 in an overtime thriller!!

I'm not a fan of either team I was just giving my opinion.

Dixie by 9. 71-62.

Even if the birds are that much better than in Dec, I also think Dixie is playing much better as a team as well. I think Dixie wins this one by close to 10

In case anyone remembers the early season game Highlands was only down 6 with 4:40 left in the game. Dixie ended up stretching the lead out but Chevalier certainly hasn't forgotten. The team that attacks the rims early with success will likely win.

This is the best 1st round matchup, with BC and Holmes a close second. Both teams play hard and looking from the outside I would give the edge to Dixie because of their strong guard play. However, HHS is playing with everyone now so I am going to give the slightest edge to HHS to win by less than 5.

Tri State Internet Sports Radio will be broadcasting this game along with the entire 9th region tournament from the Bank of Kentucky Center. Just go to the front page of the website, TriStateInternetSportsRadio.com and click the player on the right side of the page. We will only have audio coverage of the torunament due to the Bank Of Kentucky Center.

I look for this game to be much closer than the regular season contest. Highlands has its horses back and, Highlands is Highlands. Regardless of the sport (or the We the People competition for that matter) if you are matched up against the Birds, expect a fight. I think Dixie has too much talent and will hold on for the W. Should be a great game.

Stat lines for Stewart and Crowley in the NCC game.

Stewart 12/18 2/4- 26pts 10 rebounds. 66% FG shooting

Crowley 10/16 0/0- 25 pts 62.5% shooting 5/9 from 3

Id say this will be needed on Thursday night.

My guess is that Pike will be guarding Stewart and Trammel will have Crowley.

No offense Qryche11 but I am hoping not! I want to see my Red Colonels come out on top. I do think it is going to be a very good game and much closer than their first appearance.

I cant see Trammel trying to check Crowley. Crowley is 6'3 and long and will just post him up all night. I think Pike and Towles matchup.
