Well me too of course, but either way this arena stuff is a blast. We are just trying to get everyone out there to come to one game. That's all it takes. It's a ton of fun and the celebrations are second to none. The guys are always looking for suggestions and if you would like their is a link on youtube of our last game and the celebrations that we had.

No that was just for the first game. Either way they can buy a ticket for $7 dollars. Sorry.

OK, thanks.

I am going to be competing in the NKY River Monsters Sub Challenge from Sub Station II in Florence...this is gonna go on at every home game from now on apparently...if you haven't tried it, well its one MASSIVE sandwich...after speaking with the owner yesterday afternoon and night via email and after asking her, she went and found out through a representative of SMG that NKU students were still gonna be admitted free to the rest of the games.

I am going to be competing in the Monster Sub Challenge next Friday in the River Monsters game against the Huntington Hammer. I am gonna meet up with the owner to iron out the details on Wednesday, but all I know for sure at this time is that I'll have an hour to complete it (probably won't happen but I'm willing to give it a third try...lol), it will begin between the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second, and I will be up on one of the party decks so folks can potentially see the progress.

^I've never understood why people would want to try and shove massive amounts of food into their body at once, but to each his own.

Good luck statman!

I am gonna give it one more shot...after that, I am done with trying to beat it. The food is great though...you should stop by the store in Florence next time you're out that way...oh and the owner does give NKU students a discount so be sure to show your student I.D. if you do go out there.

As for doing these challenges, it all started when I was dared by a friend to try one and it has gone on from there. The fact that I haven't completed one kind of makes me want to go until I at least finish one...lol.

Now as for the River Monsters themselves, the game play was fantastic to watch. J-Lo was outstanding after the first couple series to begin the game...his celebrations were awesome as well...lol. The only thing that I would suggest them do something about would be the dance team and the mascot. The dance team was brutal to watch at the beginning of the game and at halftime, then the mascot seemed to never really try to entertain the crowd...sort of just stood there the entire game...also didn't like how it was just a person in a ghillie suit...seems like they took the easy way out instead of coming up with something creative like a person in a large fish costume or something along those lines. Overall though, I think it is definitely a great time to be had by all. Kids can interact with the players after the game, fans can keep the balls once they go into the crowd, and, I almost forgot, the kids can play around on the inflatables on Victor's Veranda. Just a great experience overall.

Just a reminder about the game tomorrow night. Doors open at 6:30 so get there early to enjoy the $1.00 beer. It will be served until the end of the 3rd quarter. Also Icky Woods will be there doing the coin toss and signing for us. Should be a fun and entertaining game.

Wish I could be there but class is a must to attend since it is only a once a week class...lol. But I'll definitely be there on Friday...gotta meet up with the owner to discuss plans for the Monster Sub Challenge...lol.

NKU students get in free again?

River Monsters student/faculty/staff ticket promotion...

NKU Students

Come see Jared Lorenzen and the Northern Kentucky River Monsters take on the Canton Cougars on Monday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. at The Bank of Kentucky Center. The River Monsters racked up 79 points in their home opener, so you can bet there will be plenty of excitement Monday night. All NKU students can get into this and all home River Monsters games by showing their All Card at the game.

Faculty and Staff

NKU faculty and staff also have an opportunity to get FREE tickets to the game. From now until Monday, March 28, at 2 p.m., NKU faculty and staff can go to The Bank of Kentucky Center Box Office and receive two complimentary tickets to the game by showing their NKU All Card. Please note that due to a limited amount of tickets available, once all promotional tickets have been claimed this promotion will be over and The Bank of Kentucky Center can no longer honor complimentary tickets to the game for NKU faculty and staff.

It is in fact for the rest of the season. The above message was taken straight from the NKU main page... http://www.nku.edu/display_news.php?ID=4384
