Teams IMO likely to be in Regional and ranking of best chance to win it.

Imo the 9th region tournament will be all about matchups. If districts go according to what many feel they will there are obvious regional participants. In the 34th it should be Dixie and Lloyd and in the 36th NCC and Highlands. In the 33rd it should be Boone Co, and Ryle but Conner could threaten Ryle for a spot. In the 35th Holmes should be there but Holy Cross and CCH will battle for the other spot. The district finals could make for interesting matchups come regional time. What if Boone Co. and Holmes lose their district championships and go into the regional as losers? If Highlands goes into the regional as a loser as everyone thinks they will they could cause some problems for certain teams. The obvious matchup that winners would like to draw would seem to be Lloyd but think about this. Boone Co. has beaten NCC. What if Boone Co. goes in as a loser and faces NCC first round. What if Holmes goes in as a loser and faces Dixie? Holmes has beaten Dixie. The district finals and then the regional draw are going to make for some interesting moments. All in all it is setting up for some very good tournament games in the greatest time of the year for high school basketball. All these teams should just be happy they don't reside in the 7th region. What a tournament that should be as well.

Yea the 7th Region Tourney is the real state tourney.

What I heard was that the region is Feb. 28 - Mar. 6. Girls 2/28, 3/1, 3/4, 3/6 Boys 3/2, 3/3, 3/5, 3/6.

I still think with Holy Cross notm shooting greatbright now but if they can turn it on with all the turnovers they can cause they have a decent chance. They have not been beaten bye more than ten by any 9 region teams.And they still dont get any credit for beating Scott,CovCath,and Ryle so dont sell them to short like you guys are.

I don't really have a dog in this fight so all I'm going to say is that I can't wait for the tournament to start. I have been asked to be in charge of the scorer's table workers and I will once again be doing PA for the tournament. I just hope this dang cough goes away ASAP. Love regional tournament time.

I would based on their guard play and if they get streaky like they are capable they can scare and beat anybody in the 9th.If CovCath inside guys struggle like they have been they have o shooters to reley on.

Not saying they can win the region but they can make some noise and can certainly handle CovCath again.And give Holmes a run for theeir money in Districts.

Only time will tell. If HC is fortunate enough to make the region, I have a feeling they'd be one and done.
