Wonder where Tates Creek would have been if not for that loss to Dunbar. Also, tough for the 7th region, top 3 teams in the state and only one can make the sweet sixteen. Should be an eventful final couple of weeks in Kentucky.

How is Ashland ahead of Dixie when Dixie beat Ashland by close to 20?

Also, Western beats Dixie but are a few spots behind the Colonels.

These are just two examples of why these ratings and the LIT ratings will always be a joke.

I don't see Ryle, Campbell Co, or even NCC ranked! And not ranking Scott is an injustice! These rankings are horrible!

These rankings factor in other games that just the head to head. Can't base rankings on that alone, but I agree that Ashland is not better than Dixie.

None of these 4 teams are ranked at the top of thier region (9th and 10th), both regions of which are down this year, and do not deserve any rankings in the top 25 or so.

You obviously missed my sarcasm!

People whine and complain about a few points and even fractions of a point, "this team beat that team so why are they behind in the ratings of the team they beat?" The first three teams I listed beat Holmes, who is ranked! Scott beat Dixie, who is ranked! People use head to head games as their sole argument, these teams beat those ranked teams, so those who complain based on head to head alone should find a place for these teams.

BUT, You are VERY wrong about Ryle! And no one should overlook Scott! Also, competitive does not mean down.

Thank You!!

Have you seen any of these top 25 teams (other than Dixie) actually play?

I'm sure Cantrall has not seen every team in the state play, so it is very subjective.

I also feel the 9th region is way down this year.

Who is Dave Cantrall anyway?

Just in case that's not a rhetorical question.....

Dave used to (maybe still does) live in NKY. Big sports fan. Developed a ratings system a long time ago for high school football and basketball.

Ashland lost to Dixie 77 to 87, not that I could solve Fermat's last theorem, but that's more like close to 10, no offense.
