Mason County 69 Fleming County 60

Featured Replies

Closer than most people thought. This young Fleming County team is going to be dangerous the next few seasons.

Royals better start picking it up. Looks like an even better 16th region team comes in on Friday & then the big showdown with Clark Co. the following week. Will Mason be at full strength by then?

FINALLY made it out to the Fieldhouse to see the Royals. Fleming County has a really nice team, I can't believe this is the same team that lost to Rowan and Ashland by over 60 points combined. They don't have much size, but they really play hard and hustle. Fleming County got the first 4 points to start the third to go up by 4, after that, it was all Royals.

I actually went to this game to see more the JV than the Varsity. I was curious to see what the Royals have after this talented class graduates and there was a really nice player #34 that really stood out, another player or two looked good. It will be an interesting Mason County team next year, they really do just keep reloading.

Talked to Neal briefly as he shot around during halftime of JV game. He said that he just started practicing and should be playing in about 2 weeks. Can you say February 4th????

Setty with 22 and 19, Black with 21 and 10. Double-doubles from the big men were the difference.

I'd like to see FC back in the 10th in the next couple of years. They're looking good for the next 3-4 years and the FC/MC rivalry could get a little more even.

If FC didn't have any size, then they should have had a field day. :thumb:

Agree 1,000 percent. I've always said that Fleming belongs in the 10th. Maybe with the realignment that's bound to happen sooner or latter, that will come to pass.

And they did.:thumb:

Rebounds were 48-25 Mason; second-chance points were 13-0. Kinda makes you wonder how it wound up just a 9-point game.

I think the bigger question is will they all stay at FC or trade in the black and gold for blue and white or red and white?:sssh:

Chambers, Jackson and Staggs are your good JV players right now

Thanks, I looked up the roster last night and saw the player's names. Should have some nice pieces next year to go with Black and Harris.

Ive been around 10th region basketball for a while and I didnt know that Fleming players transferring to the blue and white neighbors Bracken, Lewis, Mason, Nicholas etc. was a big deal.

Royals have an interesting matchup Friday.
