I don't buy into it needs to be a Belleve guy or that it HAS to be someone from the outside. I just think you need to find a good coach that knows how to handle the young men on the team, can get a good staff around him in which he can trust to delegate some duties and power. Also, the coach needs to be some one that can buy into Bellevue traditions, can teach those boys not only about football but about life, and is someone that is willing to adjust as needed. He must be approachable, someone the kids can trust, and a motivator to the athletes.

 

If this person is from Bellevue then great, if he is not, then that's fine too. If you can find someone with these qualities then I think you will have a successful program, period. If a coach is unsuccessful with this, I would not keep them around either.

ABC2, the thread you were referring to was closed down because of the numerous amount of personal jabs in it. As well as the many shots at the schooling system. This one is on the same track as well.

30 is a good number for any school. I hope they get the best person for the job. Wilson maybe a Bellevue guy but they need someone outside the box to get rid of the old. Lets get some fresh blood that the admin will support when times get rough not get roide of him like they did this year. And with those types of non support who would want that job?

Well when do they name Ecksiten the head coach? I hear the job is posted but are they just going throught the motions? Why dont they just come out and announce him the coach and get it over with? Doug Miller would be a great fit! He creates great relationships with the kids, he would have a following of assistants from CCHS, as long as lickert doesnt grab them all up, his philosophy fits into the bellevue mentality (or that of their past) oh and he is an alum. Anyone know if there is any truth to this?
