Not sure if the horn sounded or not, but I can tell the crew struggled all night long. Not sure if it had any bearing on the outcome of the game, but it made it difficult to watch at times. They had several "changed" overruled calls, a couple inadvertant whistles. I recognize everyone has an off night, it's uncommon to see a night when 2 veterans (maybe 3) were as out of synch as they were on Saturday.

I was curious so I went back and listened to the broadcast. You can clearly hear the horn sounding. Around the 49 minute mark. I totally agree the officials seemed to have a rough nite. One of the things that gets to me more than anything is inconsistency in calls - and one that to me was very inconsistent was the charge they called on Brett. As you can see from the picture above, Mashinot went over Bradley and there was no call. Yet, they called Brett. These seemed to be very simliar plays, and I would have expected at least a call on the play with Mash and Bradley

I have not followed Cooper other than watching the scores on here. Cooper always seems to be in a close game. So I went back and looked at their schedule and 7 of their 15 games were decided by three points or less.

IF the defensive player is set and has legal guarding position and IF the offensive player does not make contact in the torso ie he clips the side of the defensive player it's tough to call a foul on either player. I agree and the play was at the other end of the court, so maybe some one else had a better view, but I can tell you there was quite a bit of contact. I could not tell if the defensive player was set or not, but I was surprised by the no call.

Congrats to Cooper on a well played game, that is until that last shot. Still hard for me as a Basketball fan to understand why you pass up a trey, even if there is a player guarding you, for a two point shot down three.

 

#10 Bradley played a whale of a game and I believe he netted 14 to lead the Cooper Team while Langley had 13.

 

Cooper helps out CovCath tonight by only converting on 5/14 FT attempts, while again the stripes only allow CovCath to the line for 6 FT attempts and CovCath converts on 3 of them.

Although the game against Covcath may have been a moral victory, you have it marked as a W and not an L in your list.

Cooper definately seems to be building by each and every loss they have. I expect an upset game from them. Sullivan is a good coach and expect postive things from Cooper in the next few years. Congrats to the Colonels on another win.

Yeah that was just a mistake....my bad!

Cooper has played a lot of teams close but they are not a good shooting team and are terrible from the foul line. However you will not see a team work any harder than they do on defense and they make up for overall team talent with hustle and desire. People are seeing what coach Sullivan can get out of his kids and expect good things from the Jaguars down the road as they get a little more overall talent.

 

So Holy Cross playing Cooper close early doesn't mean that HC can't compete with CCH any more right?
