Campbell Co. actually cut the lead from 45-22 at half to 51-39 with 2:00 left in third period. CovCath was still playing starters too. Losey was being closely guarded all night. You could see the frustration it was causing. Fresh bodies were guarding him all night. Other teams may see this as the formula to stop him.

CovCath definitely deserves to be #1 in next week's coaches poll.

This shows how much CCH dominated. The Camels had a strong 3rd quarter and only briefly got it down to 12. It then went right back to 16 and beyond.

It was a great response to a very strong run.

Talk all you want about the Big guys tonight, me, all I want to talk about is #13 Maschinot. Throughout the years when CovCath has played well, it was because of having a tough PG and in Mash, they have that man I think this season. He drove, he dished out the ball, he scored and he helped out on Losey, Mash played great tonight!

 

BTW the first quarter of this game was one of the best quarter of Basketball that I have seen a CovCath team play since back in the 67/68 years! Outstanding first quarter and I believed CovCath only missed 2 FG's in that quarter.

 

For those who have talked about the poor shooting percentage from the charity line, well the Colonels shot 81.8% tonight.

 

The Crazies had another outstanding night and the CovCath gym was packed and rocking!

 

CovCath now stands at 6-1 and next plays Monday @ LexCath vs the winner of the UHA vs Lou DeSales game at 1pm in the Republic Bank Classic.

BTW CovCath won the Frosh and JV games also!

I have watched Cov Cath 5 times and Dixie 4. Cov Cath has dominated most of their games so I would give the nod to them. Dixie is a powerhouse with multiple weapons so I think it shoud be one heck of a game.
