Good Luck to Russell. I should be rooting for the local team but I've known Philip Haywoods family all my life. His mother and mine were very good friends and co-teachers. I think Belfry will win this because of the home advantage. Hope for a good game and injury free for both sides.

I dread the drive but am really looking forward to the game. I have a good feeling that the Devils will lay it all on the line tonight and if the ball bounces our way on occasion, we may be hosting a semi-final.

I think it will be one of those type of games too LD, where the game is not decided until very late and everybody leaves it all out on the field. It seems like it usually is when these two get together, even though the last two meetings were lopsided. I'm really glad it is gameday, I've been looking forward to this one all week.

In an unrelated quesiton, how is Coach McGlone's health? Last couple of times I have seen him on the sidelines, it seems he can barely get around. Is it knee and hip trouble or something else?

 

I think he's had replacement surgery for both areas; one of them for sure. I also think his back is giving him trouble after talking to him before the Raceland game.

He looks like he is in pain. I'm sure the daily grind of coaching this sport is tough on him if he has back, knee or hip trouble, let alone all 3.

 

Hopefully the Pirates will show him some mercy tonight and give him the rest of the season off.
