Simon Kentons run game is one player. The QB.

 

The line is awful.

 

That's because he's the only one they run. The other running back ran great tonight. All half dozen or so times they had the chance. The rest of the time it was the QB. That's why they couldn't score in the red zone. Any team that watches films of SK knows that once their in the red zone you only have to watch one player and that's the QB. He's either going to run or throw the ball to #35. They've done it all year and their not going to stop now. TC watched films and stopped them in the red zone all night. SK scored on a long TD pass and another one on special teams. The rest were field goals. That's my 2 cents anyway. I'll step off my soap box now.

Wrong on that play, the ref's got it right, SK got the ball at the 49 because TC touched the ball before it went 10 yards/past the 50 yard line.

The ref could not see if he touched the ball or not. I was on the SK side of the field and it did not look like he touched the ball. He waited until it crossed the 50 and fell on the ball. Actually the ball bounced up to him but he was on the other side of the 50 when he grabbed the ball. Again this is what it looked like to me in the stands. We were on the fence just outside of the TC's team area and we had a pretty good shot from where we were standing. This first thing I said was that the ball didn't go ten yards and that it should be SK's ball, I was ticked until I saw the flag come in. You may be able to catch the game on replay at some point in the next couple weeks and then let the camera decide.

You may be right. It just didn't look like it to me. It sounds like you were closer to the field than me and I'm getting old and the eyes may be going just a little. Still a close call and it sounds like the refs got it right. Sorry!

No problem, you're right it was a close call.

If not for a couple bad calls SK would be out of the playoffs right now. The TD that was called back for TC was just wrong. The kid was in the endzone when the ref through the flag back at the 45 yard line. If it'ts a block in the back, throw the flag when it happens and not wait until the play is over. The on side kick they recovered? Not sure what the call was but I was sitting on the 50 yard line and the kicker did not touch the ball until it crossed the 50. Still not sure about that one but I'm sure SK is lucky to move on to next week. They will have to play alot better next week if they want to get by Henry Clay.

The onside kick they recovrered didn't even make it 8 yards. For Tc to go for 2 onside kicks was a slap in the face to SK.

We always stand on the visiting teams side on the fence during home games. Tonight's game made me really nervous about next weeks.

I'd bet SK throw the ball to Winkler less than 15% of the time in the Redzone when it should of been 85% of the time.

Also the same team that put up 52 against Henry Clay in that game. So I think the SK's defense is doing alright, however the offense was horrible in the red zone.

Fair enough....my point is, SK will need to play better offensively next week if they want to advance.

 

Teams have put up big numbers on TC all year and for the SK potent offense to only put up 23, with 3 field goals, has to be worrying some of the SK faithful.

Why do you think it's a slap in the face? Kickoff return is a part of the football game, and so are onside kicks. Their coach's may have seen a weekness. And it sounds like they were marching up and down the field on thier defense until the 20, so why not try and get it back? JMO but I don't see how you can call it a slap in the face.
