So I was correct, 5 out of 42.. for a grand total of a 12.5% chance of winning a game... so maybe we allow teams with three wins in considering those were the only ones who won... and tsyoung your talking complete hypotheticals, these results posted before your comment are proof for this argument to not allow these teams in.. come on put on big boy pants and stop treating high school like pee-wee football where everybody gets a trophy...

 

To add to your percentage, 2 of those 5 teams that won, beat another 3-7 team. Leslie County beat Shelby Valley and E-town beat Western Hills.

All have been given too much, and don't know what it is to work for what you want. Who knew that a solution to this problem was as simple as cutting the first round in Kentucky High School Football Playoffs.

6A cut from 31 or 32 teams in what is now the first round bracket, to a 16 team first round bracket. That eliminates a round. There will still be blowout games in that 16 team first round. We just see it differently. I'll never see it your way and you will never see it mine, but it gives us something to talk discuss every fall.

I actually think its a joke. Many times you are asking these teams to be sacraficial lambs to take out to slaughter in the first round. What if you were the number seed and lost a kid playing a team that was 1-9 and then go into the second or third round playing good teams without your best player. I know that injuries happen all the time and can happen in any game, but I'd hate to lose a kid this way.

 

Good point, I agree it just adds a meaningless amount of games and risks the potential of kids getting hurt or something else happening.

I don't think you would see BLOWOUT wins.. Might be sound wins like 28-14 or 35-21 but not 61-0... But those games would be much more fun to watch and a lot more competitive.. I also agree to disagree AMERICA IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! Enjoy round 2...
