I don't know about that. Our weatherman said this storm voted with Nancy Pelosi over 95% of the time. Apparently it also failed to join a number of governors in protesting Obamacare. He said it would hurt seniors and working families. This storm, he said, just doesn't share our Kentucky values...which, of course, are so completely different from say, Ohio or Tennessee values. We just can't trust this storm!

Today's storm had the second lowest barometric pressure ever recorded in the United States. It was the equivalent to a catagory 3 Hurricane.

From the National Weather Service office in Louisville about yesterday's storm:

 

A new record was set today for the lowest pressure in a non-tropical storm in the mainland United States. The massive storm system barreling across the central U.S. had a minimum central pressure of 28.23" or 956 mb (equivalent to the minimum pressure of a Category 3 hurricane). This breaks the old record of 28.28" (958 mb), set on Jan. 26, 1978, during the Blizzard of 1978 (aka the Cleveland Superbomb). This is also lower than the March 1993 Superstorm (aka "The Storm of the Century"), and the "Witch of November" storm that sank the Edmund Fitzgerald in 1975, and even the Columbus Day Storm of October 1962.

I would assume you have talked to him by now but in case you haven't it's fine. It was gone by the time I got to work. We closed on our house yesterday so I didn't get in until about 11:00. I haven't heard of any major issues around town.
