Just want to ask; what type of feeder program do these kids come from or is there one? Is there a Middle school league or county little league? Also, while we were sitting there getting ready for the game to start, we were commenting on how big physically Boyle looked. They had some tall athletic built kids.

Does anyone have a breakdown of the scoring?

Time will tell, if all the players continue to work hard and keep their heads on straight (which I think this group can) they will be a special group. I would also like to give the coaching staff a pat on the back... Nick is a different type of coach from the last coach and it shows!!! I liked the last coach so don't take this the wrong way, he just sometimes would keep other teams in the game when the scores could have been a lot different.

I have been saying this all along....I haven't once said better but I will say right now that this class "Will" rival the 2009 Varsity Class at Highlands.

They start playing in the 3rd and 4th grade in a rec league that plays teams from surrounding counties. The middle school plays in a conference that is similar to the rec league setup.

I would like to say thanks also to Boyle County stepping up and allowing our baby birds to come down and play such last minute. The southern hospitality of the Boyle fans was a nice change. I received several nice comments after the game about our boys. The bird boys played another outstanding game on both sides of the ball. Coah Behimer and Staff have done a great job with the talented group this year. FYI - I am former NewCath grad who has lived on Fort Thomas all my life. It was difficult to convert, but all I can say is Highlands is a first class school in all areas of academics, all their sports programs, and parental involvement. The coming together last minute for these freshman boys to have the chance to play Boyle was impressive. Another Kudos to coaching staff making sure the boys had their homework completed on the bus ride home.

 

I love my Alma Mater, but GO BIRDS, BRING HOME THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!

How late they would get back was my first concen when I heard about the game. Glad they got it all worked out. They're a great group.

I don't know for sure how much input the coaches have. I could give you a speculative answer which would be I think they give some input but I am not certain. My guess is that when one of the high school coaches has a kid on a team they offer input. I think if they were asked they certainly would help. For all that I know they may have a coaches clinic with them. I'll ask around and see. If Labman gets on here he could answer this question in detail for you.

 

The elementary schools are separate and when they get to middle school is when they play together for the first time. There are 3 elementary schools in the Boyle County district and yes all of those boys that play for those schools will play at Boyle. Danville has their own rec league teams as well.
