Who will Highlands play next year? I heard a rumor (from an HHS guy) that they may soften their schedule a bit (or should I say "not schedule up") so that they can ensure x amount of wins. I think he may have said 50 straight.

Maybe the presumptive softening of the schedule is the result of some schools in NKY being afraid to man up and schedule the birds.

This will be impossible due to no one willing to play them that will be a softer game. I am looking for a lot of Cincy schools to be on the birds schedule next year.

I hope not... I don't care how good the team may be or will be in upcoming years, you don't want to bite off more than you can chew. Highlands has a very good program but they are not big or deep enough to play a lot of Cincy schools in one season. Highlands has tried this before without much success.

This is exactly why accomplishments like the one we're discussing are meaningless and in vain. If Highlands would have played a couple GCL teams the past few years, the winning streak would be a mute point. It's silly that we even discuss these things. Yes, I agree, that it says alot about the program in a positive way, but to soften the future schedules to ensure wins is utterly ridiculous. This accomplishment as well as the state rushing record need to be put in perspective. Sure, Jude is one heckuva RB, but if Dale would've unleashed AC last year against Scott, he would have had 1000yd game.
