Mayfield by 2- scores

Mayfield vs. Metcalfe County

Regional Titles Since 1959

Mayfield 26 (18 in 2A; 8 in 1A) and have won five straight

Metcalfe 0

Playoff History between the two since 1980

2003 (Region Finals) Mayfield 14-7

Metcalfe has had a nice year, but Cards roll in this one! Rust and Hatchell will wear them down on the ground and with Brown back this week at WR...Shelton picks up so yards through the air when needed! I just don't see a team that only passes to keep the defense honest able to beat Mayfield in the end. Good luck to both teams, should be a long haul for Metcalfe County to War Memorial!

My take:

Cards-34

Metcalfe-8

We scored 3 td's (1 called back), against this defense (Metcalfe) on the road. I expect mayfield will win this, shutout style! 34-0

Mayfield 35 Metcalfe 14.

Why will Mayfield win? Because they are Mayfield.

Why will Metcalfe lose? Because they are not.

Plus, it's supposed to be VERY cold Friday. A long road trip followed by playing in frigid conditions could be a factor.

Mayfield is an accomplished program, they are my choice in this game.

Is Larry Harbison still the head coach at Metcalf Co. If so, good luck this week. Good luck to Metcalf Co regardless if Larry is the coach or not.

Another reason I hope Danville and Mayfield play is that i'll be just an hour away from Mayfield at my mom's for Thanksgiving that weekend, so getting to the game would be an easy drive for me.

I say that tough Mayfield D shuts out Metcalfe while putting up....38pts

Mayfield -38

Metcalfe-0

Pretty good pronosticating there, 00rocket28...I guess since your team played em both, you had a pretty good idea about both teams...
