I could care less if his father held him back for athletic advantage. I'm merely stating that you would expect him to be mature since he is as old as most seniors. If he keeps his composure, he will have a good year.

Dixie's first 5 will be strong and keep them in games with ANYONE, but I think overall depth will be their downfall in the end.

 

I know a lot of people close to the program are excited about the Colonels, but their JV team was less than impressive last year and I don't see any of those guys (outside of Stansberry) making a significant impact at the varsity level.

 

Dixie will go as far as Pike, Trammel, and Hatton carry them.

 

I look for opposing teams to attack Dixie hard down low this season. With Pike out, that paint is wide open. Muntis simply doesn't have the athletic ability to stick some of the other big men in this region. (Geisler, Stauffer, Hodges, Robinson, Thelen, Rice, Stewart).

 

But, I guess that's why they play the game. Should be an exciting year of 9th region basketball and hopefully the Red Colonels prove me wrong.

You may be surprised by how much depth they actually have....including a very solid transfer from Ohio if my sources are correct. They will go 8-9 deep if they choose. Dixie has (3) 6'6" guys...so I honestly don't think your down low assessment is very accurate.

I know little at this point and time....

I believe Cohorn is playing this year. He got alot of time in back in June during the weekday games while juggling football camps and combines on the weekends. He is a strong defender and shows deep range when shooting the 3 ball. He could possibly be the fifth starter.

Hatton is a great scorer and if he defends one of the weaker offensive players from the other team, and someone else on Dixie can lock down the the other team's scorer, I'm sure Hatton's points and the point differential compared to the person he guards will be much more meaningful for Dixie.
