NamecipS
Thanks to the CovCath radio guys. I tried to email them to tell them I was listening from halfway around the world, but the emails failed to deliver.
75center
Impressive win Birds! Congratulations. Agree that the CCH radio guys perform a great service.
katbird
Looks like the machine keeps on rolling..Great job Birds!! I was really impressed with Harris at lb. He will flat out knock your head off. The Dressman kid will be a nice player for CovCath in a few years. He is big and very hard to bring down..GO BIRDS!!
Sweeperboy
Really no surprise here imo. I have been telling ppl for months now, WOW!!!! CovCath did a nice job today and OG is right on, this is a very, very good CC team and he future certainly does look promising for the Blueboys. Right now though, the only thing that could stop this Highlands team imo is the FLU Bug. Double WOW! Go Birds 23n13
THUNDERBIRDS
Once again Highlands was moving at a different speed than CovCath. CovCath is huge but unfortunately that isn't going to win you games against a team like Highlands. Great job by the HHS coaches at halftime. CovCath was shut down in the 2nd half!!! Theoldguy
First congrats to the HHS Frosh. Your D-line was outstanding. If you attended the game please don't be upset with CovCath for not announcing some of the HHS players names! The two rosters that we received had many numbers that were not listed, such as Harris as #45 (not #43) and some other numbers that were not on the roster at all such as #39. Please, don't think we didn't announce the players on purpose!
Bluesport
So for those that saw the game: what turned a pretty even 1st half turn into a 4 TD win? Did CovCath wear down? Turnovers? Big plays? Obviously CCH sounds like they played ok for a half. Just curious.
jbwill2
Thanks to the CovCath internet radio guys for webcasting the game! So, is it possible for these two teams to meet again for the frosh championship?

Big plays? Obviously CCH sounds like they played ok for a half. Just curious. The CCH radio guys had mentioned that CCH was having some issues with effective tackling. It also sounded like HHS did a nice job of stopping CCH's rushing attack in the second half (I didn't hear the first half).

Theoldguy
Other than the outstanding punt return by Hayes at the 7:56 mark of the 2nd quarter, it was indeed a rather even 1st half. The D- line of HHS came out in the second half and just dominated the CovCath O line and it was just a matter of too many mistakes by the CovCath "O". CovCath gets the opening kickoff starting the second half and throws an "INT" and that pretty much set the tone for the rest of the game!

Please, don't think we didn't announce the players on purpose! Not a single person on the visitor's side said a word about that TOG... at least your sound system works... Back to the game. Props to the DL and OL for the Birds. Several stops for losses on D and the holes were there for their trio of outstanding backs to run through. The LBs for CovCath are tough kids. Shout out to #69 Little on HHS O-Line. His block in the 2nd half to free Harris for a TD was textbook. QB for CovCath is a tough kid. Bet these 2 meet again in the frosh championship... and many times in future years given the KHSAA proposed realignment which keeps HHS and CC in the same class. accountant45202
HHS was very impressive. This is not an excuse, but CovCath only had two days of preparation for this. They are both two good teams and hopefully we will see them together again in the playoffs!
