First this hurst the Cards.

Secondly just another example that the NCAA don't care about kids.

Do you even know why he was ruled ineligible?

Wow, there goes the entire class.

I'd like to know why. I honestly haven't heard a thing about his case.

This is from Inside the Ville:

He is ineligible at the moment because there are core classes you have to take to qualify for college. Dieng classes he took back home plus his years here did not give him all the required core classes.

What is likely the appeal is that of course his transcripts from back home are not going to be the same exact courses that a student in the US would take so UofL's appeal is that while he may not have taken a certain class required to gain eligibility, UofL can make a case that a similar class he took back home prepared him and gave his similar teachings as had he took the required core here in the US. It is a long shot but still possible.

They do get to keep Russ Smith. Ouch...

The NCAA is taking a very hard line stance on core credits right now to flush out some of the mess that the prep school culture has created. Highly unlikely he gets this overturned...

I hate that for him, he is a really nice kid.

Heard he got a 31 on his ACT, is that true?

Not sure, but wouldn't doubt it. He is a very bright kid, but like I said the NCAA is making as many examples as they can on the core class issue right now...

So UL's recruiting class consists of one player now?

Russ Smith and Elijah Justice...

Not a Louisville fan and actually hope they never win another game but if what I'm reading is true then this is a shame. If the young man is that intelligent it is truely a shame.
