October 12, 201015 yr Congrats! Did you have your house insurance and property taxes added to your payment? I mean an escrow account so that you won't have to come up with that money when the bills come do? That is what my wife and I did and it really saved us when her company went out of business.

I think it's a good idea but you can easily be disciplined and do it yourself and the Bank won't be holding your money for free all year.
October 12, 201015 yr Doesn't need a lot of work, it's all minor stuff, mowing the grass, cleaning the carpet, taking up carpet in bathroom and putting down linoleum, just minor things. I'll post pictures of what it looks like now, and once we move in. I never understood why people would put carpet in bathrooms. Gross! Congratulations on your purchase! I looks like you can go on vacation without going on vacation. So peaceful!

October 25, 201015 yr Nice work SV. We are suppose to close on our new house tomorrow morning. This will be the second attempt. Closing was scheduled for last Friday but was pushed back due to some paper work issues.
