7. Knox Central vs. #1 Bell County

8. Collins at North Bullitt

10. West Jessamine at 3A Western Hills

Bell County at Knox Central would be something to see. Can't wait to hear the final score of that one.

Good to see WJess getting a little love. I think they're a team that could surprise some teams in the playoffs...

Mystery Team: Holmes. Very impressive in wins over some of the worst opponents around.

Under-rated: Lone Oak. This is a top 5 team, IMO.

Under-rated: Collins. Very explosive. Not sure if anyone but Bell, Boyle, Western, and Lone Oak can keep pace with them. I'd put them at #5, IMO.

Under-rated: West Jessamine. Twenty point win over 6A Tates Creek was very impressive last week.

West Jessamine is not under-rated. They belong exactly where they are. While their record is impressive they could not beat anything team ahead of them from 1-9.

I think the top 10 is perfect right now. I wouldn't change anything.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of their season plays out. Very interested to see how they stack up against the top teams in 4A.

Maybe.

Graves County sure thought so.

I think you're sleeping on Allen County-Scottsville.

Not at all. I think AC-S is a top 5 team. I don't, however, believe in Holmes. Yet.

Then that makes this statement:

Very confusing. We all know Bell and Boyle are #1 and #2 (though the order is debated). You have Lone Oak in the top 5. You have Collins at #5. Is Western in your top 5? If not, why would ACS be but not be able to match up with Collins?

This next month will be very telling for Holmes. After Franklin County this week they travel to Dixie Heights, Scott at home, Withrow (OH) whom almost beat Highlands, then travel to Harrison County to wrap up the regular season.

You are correct. Typed too fast and wasn't paying attention. So I guess I'd have AC-S at #6.

Then I repeat: I think you're sleeping on Allen County-Scottsville.

Holmes is a legit top 5 team. They returned 18 starters from last year's 9-3 team and also have some very talented sophomores and freshmen that are contriubting to this year's experience and depth.

Not many teams in 4A are able to match their speed and athleticism. They also have a few D1 prospects in 6'4 soph receiver Desean Peterson, Sr RB Damian Oden, and Jr TE/LB Charles Knox.

The only teams in 4A that worry me in a match up with Holmes are Boyle, Bell, Lone Oak, and possibly Western. I'd like Holmes' chances against any other team.

I agree that Holmes is going to be a tuff out for someone in the playoffs. To me Holmes is the 3rd. best team in 4A behind Bell and Boyle.

Western I am not really sold on right now, and IMO there are atleast 2 teams better on the west side of 4A than them(Lone Oak and Allen County Scottsville) with Marion County and Collins on their heels.
