Easiest TD Rabe will probably ever score. Definitely one of the stranger plays I have seen in awhile. SK hit on all cylinders where they score TD's in all three phases if you count this play.

They ran the option on a few plays. Lawrence had over 120 yards on 3 carries.

I did not realize Smith was the NKY leading passer. Is that from YACs? What happened to him tonight?

Did it look like Conner players thought the play was over like Ernst said in the story? Did they think the rule was like it is for a misses XP? The picture I saw of the kid scoring looked like there wer no Conner players anywhere near him.

 

It looked as if Conner players thought that the only way to advance the ball was on the ground, every player swarmed to Lawrence and he just floated a pass to Rabe cutting across the field wide open...Rabe was probably only five yards from the line of scrimmage when he caught the ball he got all the yards after the catch...Lawrence scrambled like a chicken with his head cut off, as every Conner player pursed Lawrence, Rabe got behind the entire defense and Lawrence delivered it right before getting hit...

The blocked field goal was the game changer imo. Conner blocks the FG, and SK has numerous lineman "downfield". The play was clearly a violation and should not have counted. The refs had the deer in the headlights look, and were clueless. Horrible no call. Not saying it cost Conner the game, but it was a big momentum swing for SK. No sour grapes here, just stating the facts.

It was an awesome play to see, it was something that would happen in backyard football however it more than likely was illegal...After the play was over the Conner coach was pleading his case on the sideline and it looked like the ref was clueless and apologizing...However nothing was a game changer in this game other than the fact that SK had three or four defenders in the backfield every play...the Conner QB got smoked a few times and when they pitched to the running back SK's defenders were their every time nearly intercepting the pitch...Also Chad Lawrence is the most elusive QB I've ever seen and he has another gear than any other player on the field...

I think they where all just standing there amazed like everybody else was I never seen a play like that in my life.

Nice win by the Conner JV this morning @ SK. After being down 19-0, Conner comes back to win it 29-26. The freshman can play, the kid probably accounted for more than 450 yards of total offense after running for 3, throwing for 1 and throwing for (2) 2 pt. conversions. After the half, Conner woke up and the D was terrific holding SK to 7 second half points. One of the most entertaining games I have watched in a long time. Nice win for the Conner Futures.

Because Ryle is suppose to be so much better than SK! SK also played with out 4 starters Jake Krummen, Zack Hager, Danny Williams and Trey Pinkelton.

 

Why are these boys not playing?

Krummen has a concussion, Pinkelton has torn ligaments in his elbow and the other 2 were disciplinary reasons.
