The game was not as close as the score, great game by NewCath!

Wow! Way to go Breds!

CovCath was w/n 7 starting the 4th quarter, so I would say it was close

I would say it was. The look of the game was deceiving due to the length of NewCaths drives but CovCaths homeruns covered just as much ground. NewCath ran out of gas in the 3rd but like a great team found a way to pull it out. CovCath fought back like champs. Their backs are fast and run hard.

Congrats to the Breds! Nice win.

Coach Eviston showed allot of class by taking a knee on the 1 yard line with 38 seconds left.

If the Breds fumbled ten times tonight, is that showing class or just making the right call?

Very insightful! Congrats to NewCath for the big win. Hang in there Colonels!

? He's talking about the end of the game. Both teams need to tackle a lot better.

In the update thread, someone posted that NCC had fumbled 10 times but hadn't lost one all night. If that's the case, you'd be foolish to run a play & give CCH the chance to get the ball back by fumbling for your 11th time of the night.

Congrats to NCC. Sounds like they dominated the game & time of possession. CCH hung tough. Disappointing that CCH didn't win, but by all accounts they fought hard. Go get 'em next week boys.

I have mixed thoughts on this game. I watched a lot of it. I think this is the best NCC team CCH has played since the rivalry renewed in 02'. So CCH coming back with homeruns to make it a game where they had the ball with 3 minutes to go with a chance to tie impresses me. On the other hand, they need to spend the entire week defensively and re-learn how to tackle.

By the way it is somewhat comical to see those 2 NCC monsters at Tackle....they are that much bigger than everyone on the field. Did I mention they are good too.

It still shows that NCC plays with class. There focus remained on the game and doing the right thing. It was only a few years ago that CCH ran a fake punt in the 4th quater when up by more then 40. Cov Cath parents where no better tonight. There was a time when Cov Cath showed class. It is a great school with great kids. But someone needs to tell the adults that paying tution doesn't give you the right to act the way they do.

While I think Eddie did the right think by having the qb take a knee I would have completely understood had he decided to score just to defend the honor of Coach Bob. It wouldn't have been smart but I certainly would have understood.

I was impressed with the play-calling by NC tonight.

Simple game. You tackle, you make stops, you give your team a chance to win.

CCH doesn't do that. I have no idea what the answer is to the problem.
