Their O is fun to watch with the motion and misdirection. It's a running offense, but it is a lot of fun to observe

Agree! NCC has a lot of weapons in their arsenal.

What are the respective classes of these two?

NCC is a 2A School, while CovCath is a 4A school playing up to the 5A level.

While watching this game tonight I thought what would help CCH is if Dave brought in Tony Acito to help out in some way. Is he still teaching at NCC? Great teacher of the game.

Very much agree. I noticed this in their game against Ryle. They probably have someone in motion on 70-80% of their plays. I wish Ryle would incorporate some of this motion/misdirection into their offense.

Almost every game 7 players get multiple touches. Makes it tough to defend

NC 78 plays 482 yards 6.1 YPP

CCH 31 plays 281 yards 9 YPP

Gabe Gray 6 carries/105 yards plus a 54 yd punt return for a TD.

The kid is exciting.

and better yet is only a Junior!

wasn't @ the game but my crack sideline reporter told me the very same thing - tackling was poor on both sides.

Note the:21-10 NCC

Cain 20 yard TD run

2nd quarter 3:04

Burns good

The 20 yard TD was a pass from Hightchew to Hayes

CovCth JV vs NCC JV @ CovCath today Saturday 9/25 10am.

NCC not missing a beat with Coach E at the helm congrats.

Went to Beef O'brady's in Newport tonight for dinner. Looked up on one of the big screens, and watched the game live. Pretty cool to watch live high school football. Great job NKy Sports.

We appreciate it.

For those who didn't get a chance to watch the game, you can watch the replay on demand at nkysports.com under our webcasts link.

You can catch all of our games live and on replay at Beef's every Friday night.

NCC took the opening possession at their own 20. 10 1/2 minutes later they finished their drive with a TD. CCH's O didn't get the ball until 1:30 left in the first qtr.

10:35 to be exact.

Newcath's first three drives consisted of 80 yards (10:35 off the clock), 80 yards, and then 60 or 70 yards.

Newcath killed Covcath in time of possession and controlled the game with their run game which was ultimately the difference.

Kelly is extremely good and IMO underrated. Elliott of Ryle gets a lot of pub but I think Kelly is just as good. Kid runs extremely hard and I can guarantee some of those CCH defenders are sore this morning after the pounding he gave them.

Overall, Newcath has a very good rushing attack with Hightchew, Hayes, Cain, and Kelly. Doyle and Bhola also get in on the act every now and then.
