I'm about as big a Cov Cath fan as you'll find, but what about the team makes you so confident in a decisive victory by the end of the first quarter?

 

The best link you have to compare the two teams is Dixie...Dixie and Cov Cath both have played Beechwood, and both had 21 points scored on them by Beechwood. Dixie put 35 points up on Beechwood, and Cov Cath put 24 points up on Beechwood. By that comparison, Dixie has an edge over Cov Cath. New Cath, in turn, beat Dixie 35-28. Granted, it was the first week of the season, but still, I see no way this game is decided in the first quarter.

 

As I said before, I still give the Colonels the win, but I think it's going to be a hard fought game, and I don't think anyone will pull away with anything until at least the third quarter.

I think Newcath comes of away with the W at home.

 

I just think Kelly, Cain, and Hightchew will be too much out of the backfield for the Breds.

 

I also think the Breds D might be a little ahead of the Colonels D at this point.

Bingo, Mexi. You are right on. Except I am hoping that CovCath can put it all together and pull out the win. I believe that NewCath is a team that can capitalize on one big mistake by the opponent and change the game completely. And there in lies the problem with CCH and past penalties. If the Colonels can keep it clean it's going to be a heck of a game. I believe that fans on both sides of the field will be wringing their hands until the end. And who dosen't want a great game. I do.

That's quite the post. NewCath's recent struggles vs. Campbell County aside, I predict NC wins by 2 scores, 28-14.

Game of the night in NKY IMO. Great stadium to watch a game. Evenly matched yet different styles of teams. New head coaches. Kids that grew up playing all the sports against each other in Parochial leagues.

 

As long as it doesn't rain it will be a great night.

I am having a hard time seeing CCH win this one. The matchups just seem to be in favor of NCC. I think NCC's line is going to control the LOS. I think NCC has the DB's to matchup with CCH's receivers. Some games are just a bad match up for one team or another and I see this as a bad matchup for CCH. I will go with NCC by 10.
