September 13, 201016 yr Cordero is the closer. He has been all season, and he will be for the rest of the year. He had converted his last 9 in a row and like 16 or 17 out of 18 until Friday night. This one stings, but we still took 2 out of 3 from the Pirates. This is all fine and dandy, and is probably the Dusty company line. But the bottom line is that CoCo doesn't pass the eyeball test -- which is more important than the numbers at this point, frankly -- and his high-wire act of leadoff walks won't float when it matters most.

Kind of surprised Balentin didn't come with him though. I guess Bloomquist is a guy that can come off the bench next year too since he plays all over the field whereas Balentin is limited to LF.
