I had to watch, and help the kids with their math, and spelling. I couldn't type on BGP too. I thought Ramon had a game winning 3 run double there. Nice running catch by Upton. The Cubs lead the Cards 5-1 in the 6th, so we could still see the magic # drop by one.

I have followed high school sports on BGP for a couple of years. This is my first year being dialed in to the pro sports thread. I love the real time commentary. 5-1 Cubs, top of the 7th.

He's got an ERA of 1.67 and has won 6 out of his last 9 starts. Only allowed more than 2 runs in 1 of those starts. He's pretty good.

I agree with HT. He's been real solid since coming over from the White Sox. I can't believe that they gave him up for Edwin Jackson.

He has very hittable stuff, and his ERA was almost 3 coming into the game. Not sure where you guys are getting the 1.something number, unless that's what it is after tonight. Either way unacceptable to only manage 4 hits off him.

Cubs tack on 2 more in the top of the 9th. 7-1. LaRussa needs Brandon Phillips to give his team another pep talk.
