Frankfort 34 Western Hills 6

Featured Replies

Defense was the difference in this ball game. The Panthers put pressure on WHHS all night. FHS still has plenty of work to do.

WHHS has a good team and some nice players they still will be able to make a serious run in the playoffs.

Congrats to the Panthers. Big win.

34-6?? That sounds like great defense and pretty good offense on the Panther's part. I would classify 34-6 as a Beat Down. I thought Western Hills football was on the rise.

The score was 14-6 with 6 mintues left in the game. Frankfort scored 3 TDs without it's offense touching the field. Was a defensive struggle until that point. Hills has not consistancy or identity at this point.

FHS offense looked good first half. Should of had another score fumbled the football running into the end zone. Gave Hills a Touchback. FHS offense struggled in second half. Coach Miller does a great job with his defense. Over all good game.

I would have to say Hills biggest problem would be lack of leadership from the upperclassmen. Being able to sit very close to the sidelines at Frankfort's field, you could hear what was coming from the ones that should be leaders. This program had good leaders in the past in Curry, Wright, Perry, and some others, and untill they find this again it could be a long season. Go Hills find a way to come together and you will be fine.

Nice play calling by the Panthers...:thumb:

The lack of leadership is a big problem for Hills at this time. The loss of talent from last years team was huge, but the loss of leadership is even bigger. When things start going bad, then Hills does not know how to stop the bleeding. Washington Co scored 14 points on offense and Frankfort scored 7, but gave up 49 and 34! Hills has the talent to win some games and compete in their district, but need to establish some consistancy as a team.

Looks like Hills being good may have been a one year deal. I thought they had a lot of returners on defense and were pretty fast, do they have these kids on special teams?

FHS scored 14 on offense. Had another one but fumbled out of the endzone.

It is true that Frankfort scored 14 points, but one of the drives was after a punt return to inside the 5 yard line. I guess it equalled out when Frankfort fumbled through the end zone. Even though not technically a Special Teams score, setting up your offense inside the 5 on a punt return is in essances a TD for Special Teams.

How many times did I see FHS players dancing around in open space and Hills players unable to tackle?

This is true. That is why Frankfort spends a lot of time on Punt Block and punt return to help the offense.

With the speed that FHS usully has, it is a good move by the FHS staff.
