Dixie Heights 41 Conner 26

Running your #1 weapon instead of taking a knee with a 15 point lead on the last play would be what exactly?

Well, I would throw it into the "dumb" category personally. But I've never been accused of being all that bright myself. :D

Senior.

Next year, most likely, they will go with a sophomore.

Interesting. I had heard last year about some real young potential phenom they had in the program and assumed this was him. For probably not having played anything but a couple of scrub series the past two years, he certainly seems to have come into his own rather quickly.

And Conner gets exposed.

Cy is a solid qb - athletic. Unfortunately for him he had to sit behind West.

Nice effort by Smith, what are his measurements? I've been trying to find how many yards West had in the 2008 playoff game vs SK without any success. He had a bunch that night.

I think West had over 400 yards that night.

7 Seniors start on offense and 8 Seniors on defense

Never mind. I see that Nick West had about 450 yards passing against Manual last year.

How did we forget about that one? I believe he threw 5 Tds, one heck of an exit.

We? You got a mouse in your pocket?:D

My take was this. Pike got pulled, and Smith from Conner stayed in the game and Conner was running their hurry up, no huddle offense. I believe that Spritzky was expecting Trosper to pull Smith as well. When that did not happen, Pike was inserted back into the ball game. I could be wrong, but that is the way I saw it. Btw, Pike is a load to bring down when he is running the ball. Just needs to take better care of the football when rushing the ball. Good game by Dixie tonight. Way to many penalties for Conner to compete in this ballgame.

I saw the same. Dixie put in the 2nd string offense late in the 4th. They went 3 and put and punted. Conner then scored on the 2nd string defense and kicked the onside kick. Dixie recovered, brought the 2nd string in again and punted. Conner brought their 1st string out again, and started driving down the field again on Dixie's 2nd stringers. It looked like Spritzky got upset, put his starters back in, but Conner still scored. Again, they did an onside kick, and I think that irritated Sprizky, so he put his 1st string offense back in.

I don't blame Spritzky one bit for putting his starters back in. You just don't mess around with a top 20 team who is making a run at you.
