September 3, 201016 yr But people don't realize he's just trying to make money! Colbert and Stewart are entertainers. Watch their show for 5 minutes and you'll know as much. But Beck acts like he's a leader of a revolution and then will make some off the cuff remark about how he encorporates entertainment into his show, but people don't understand where the entertaining ends and the news begins. He clearly knows what he's doing and is very good at it. No fault in him making a buck, but he is scamming people right and left. Personally, I don't think anyone can work those hours for that long just to make money. I think he believes in what he preaches, and yes, I disagree with some of his points, but he does it more than just to earn a dollar.

I fully admit that I'm fascinated with both Beck and Palin despite my dislike of both. I'm fascinated with people who have the power of persuasion. Despite both of them having obvious flaws (lies/lack of intelligence) they have such a strong and loyal following who will NOT question their word. It's a great study of the human mind.

No question that President Obama has a loyal following as well and many of those cannot articulate why they voted for him. If by "lies" you mean he didn't pass all of the legislation he said he was going to while on the stump then we'll disagree as to creating a wish list knowing full well that not all of it will ever see the light of day vs flat out lying.
