Looks like the baby birds are building another state chamionship team. The youth league in Ft. Thomas is 2nd is second to no one . You should be proud of your former players. Harris; Wrobleskl', Herrgot and Scheritzer. They look like the real deal.

Are there any St. X. people on BGP who attended this game? I know that there aren't many of us left here, but since I was unable to get to the game, I was hoping someone could describe what happened from a Tiger viewpoint. Who did the scoring? How did the rushing and passing attacks look? Besides kick coverage, what most needs to be worked on going forward? What happened on the extra points both for St. X. and Highlands? I'm afraid the loss of Hines is going to be felt in Tigertown for years to come. Hopefully, someone emerges out of the pack to become the "next man up".

Based on a dominant performance by the JV team yesterday against Ryle and a freshman victory over St. X the future of this program is beyond bright. The addition of Coach Behymer to the freshman program has been tremendous!

I heard it was very similar to last year's game but the Birds scored with 4 minutes left to take the lead for good. X drove to the 35 yrd line of the Birds where it stalled. This is a very impressive win for the Birds. Congrats to Coach B and the rest of the staff. The future certainly continues to look bright.

Where else would these former Red Devils get to play championship caliber football in Campbell County?

Seems to me that Houliston, Hayes, Allen, Hope, True, Wrobleski (only played a year, maybe 2, for Red Devils), Plau, Kruse, Buten, Shadle, Ayers, Cochran, Little, Kramer, Green, Brocket all played in the FTJFL....The list goes on my friend. Seems to me they all contributed big to the win on Saturday night. Not sure why we need to go there....They are ALL Bluebirds now. Let's focus on this team, v. teams of 5, 6, 7 and 8 graders.

 

Going to be a fun group to watch going forward! Next up: Beat Camels!!

Why does it matter where they played? The bottom line is they are on the Birds Frosh roster and playing for Highlands. There are a ton of kids in the FTJRFL right now that are from other areas as far as Burlington.

So either these kids go play at NCC or all come together and be something special. I for one think it's pretty nice to have a program that attracts the players all by itself......:ylsuper:

Agreed! Babybird lesson number one birds of a feather flock together. Who cares what program is the mother nest! They are now HHS players and as my 6th grade son says its McDonalds time and "I am lovin' it!" Congrats again to a great victory for this young class...

Jalen Hayes born and bred a Newport Firefighter and played in the NKYFL for eight years as did Josh Conner and Travis Alford, But they all lived in Fort Thomas and was all proud to be Highland Bluebirds. Good Luck have a great year boys and congratulations on such a big win!!!
