I remember you saying this & I have been thinking / hoping it could be true for a few years now. But, where does Brandon Webb fit in with this team? His style would fit well in GABP, but what type of money would he demand?

 

At one time, Webb was great. He threw 4 innings in '09 & hasn't thrown at all in '10. With Arroyo (probably), Volquez, Cueto, Bailey, Wood, Leake, & Chapman, where does Webb fit in & how much are you willing to give him?

Webb pitched FOUR (4) innings in '09 & has thrown a grand total of ZERO this year. He may look healthy, but what are the odds of him holding up for a full season? Slim, at best.

 

I love the idea of adding him to the roster, but there's a 0% chance I give him $7 or $8 million unless he earns that money through incentives. The Reds cannot take such a substantial risk. I'd rather add Crawford or some other top of the order hitter. The Reds lack of interest in Johnny Damon, both now & in the offseason, baffled me.
