2010 Class 6A Preseason Rankings

You must live down by Beargrass Creek with all the sandbags you are piling up.

Actually I do live very close to the Ohio River. Can I borrow some of your bags of sand? :D

Seriously though, I agree with this BGP poll having Trinity #1. Remember last year when everyone had Trinity #1, except BGP who said St. X. #1? Who was right? I think they have Ms. Cleo's crystal ball. :notworthy:

Well St. Matthews was built on Beargrass Creek's flood plain...

#22 GRC beats #14 Bryan Station 46-18 tonight. Is Station over rated or GRC rated too low?

Goldie, I'm gong to say they may be ranked a little low. I say they are at least in the top 16.

Pep, The Scribe speaks with straight tongue. Although the Tigers do return some star players from last year, such as McMurray, Hall, Hayden, and Beach, there are some major areas of concern with the supporting cast. For the most part, St. X. will only go as far as their defense can take them.

Historically, Mike Glaser's strong teams have always had three elements in common: a powerful offensive line, outstanding run/pass threat at QB, and a dominant kicker/punter. Right now, none of these are present, and I'm not even sure they are hiding anywhere on the premises. :scared:

Based on the way you scored against POWERFUL Highlands at Highlands last week, I don't even see how our good defense can save us. Our only shot this season is if the Rocks don't show up. :notworthy:

Sandbagger party of one, your table is ready.

That's why they are called pre-season rankings. They will change as the games are played. I don't really believe Southern is the worst team in 6A but that is where they are ranked. We'll see as the games are played.

I also do not believe that Southern is the worst team in 6A this year. In my opinion, the chief candidates for this cellar position are either Marshall County or Daviess County, but then again, what do I know? We'll see as the season progresses. :irked:

In my opinion, I think we have an obvious combination of both being true. I've got to admit that GRC really surprised me on this one, as I was one of the idiots that picked Bryan Station to win in the weekly contests. :ohbrother:

To be honest they suprised me too. Thought we could win, but didn't expect us to put that many points on the board, or hold them to that many either. Heck we have our QB doing the kicking too. We lost alot of our O and D line and kicker to gradutation, but did return some skilled players. First time in school history that we have had the same QB for 3 years in a row.

I did pick GRC to win in the contest, but only as a 2...:irked: Should have had more confidence in the Cards and picked them as a 7.

I will be surprised if it's not Marshall ... the program was rock bottom last year and several players that would have started have injuries that may sideline them for the season.

Thank you sir! :thumb:
