:confused:Man Ashland didn't get much love. Guess they will have to prove it on the field. CJ had them ranked #10. Good luck to the Cats except week 2.!!:p

Ashland, Oldham, and Harlan County all look a little low to me, but it's so hard to tell Week 1.

And - although Highlands looks to be the head and shoulders #1 - this class has a lot of very good teams.

Cov Cath rated #6 ahead of Christian and Owensboro? I don't see it, but that's why they play the games.

Everything looks pretty good to me except Harlan should be better than Whitley this year.

Most people in NKY will tell you CovCath is a year away but the return of 16 starters off a team that played a one of the tougher schedules in the state is hard to overlook

Most people in West Ky will tell you Owensboro returns just as many and at least half will be 3rd year starters. Christian Co. returns many as well including one of the best athletes in the state in Bubba Tandy, who has several D1 offers. Let the games begin!

I'm not disputing what you say. I had both rather high in my poll. I know that Christian County will have an unproven starter at quarterback and a new offensive line, the latter which worries Coach Lovelace to some extent. They are extremely deep at running back with the addition of Hickey and have one of the state's best receivers in Tandy.

Owensboro lost most of their rushing yards from last year with the graduation of Douglas. You can put three through eight in 5A in a bag, shake em up, and rank em that way. 5A may be deeper this year 1-10 than in past years.

I think Johnson Central at 3 is crazy. They are consistently overrated and don't perform in the postseason. I don't see any of that changing this year.

How is that they got put out by Highlands and played pretty close to them.

Lost in the region championship to the state champion by less than anyone else in the postseason. Gosh they suck. :sssh:

Not performing by not beating Highlands, in that case we should just rate Highlands number one and stop. What Kentucky team was it that beat Highlands last year?, or the year before? Oh, yea I remember now - no one.

Johnson Central is a good team, ask the Highlands fans, they have been singing their praises all off season.

I watched the Birds play JC last year, and they are definitely a very good team. If they can continue to develop their passing attack, they will be a formidable opponent in any game. There's a reason Dale, in a recent interview, listed Johnson Central as a developing rivalry, alongside Cov Cath.

I've seen both JC games with Highlands the last 2 yrs and they are not overrated at all. I believe some would say if it weren't for Highlands, JC would be two-time defending champs.
