August 17, 201016 yr Author You and I seem to have more in common then just music, nWo. I lost my sister to a drunk drive in 1978. Although this song is about losing a girlfriend, the lyrics hit home with me. Breaks my heart every time I listen to it. Someday, we'll see them again, my friend. :thumb: You are so right!

Helped me out with some songs I didn't remember or hadn't heard. Only the Good Die Young, Billy Joel Piano Man, Billy Joel Sweet Emotion, Aerosmith Dream On, Aerosmith Immigrant Song, Zeplen Born to Run, Bruce Hollywood Nights, Seeger How Deep Is Your Love, Bee Gees Big fan of the singer/songwriter genre of the 70's. I just can't narrow down some of my Bread, America, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, etc. picks
August 18, 201016 yr RTS, the Bread song written by David Gates was about his losing his Dad. But for years I thought it was a girl, since I lost a few. But I think it fits on how sad we are in losing anyone. I've lost Mom/dad/sister all at an early age and when I hear this song I think of them, not a girl.
