Stenzel To EKU

Featured Replies

Congratulations!!! Robbie is a fine player. best of luck to GRC this season, and at EKU.

Congrats!!

Is his father Jay Stenzel that played at Berea?

His dad went to Berea and he also has an uncle Joe Bane who played at Campbellsville from Tollesboro along with with being related to the great Chris Harrison who played for Kentucky. His grandfather was also a great player for the Maysville Bulldogs many years ago. One of the great basketball families in the 10th region!

Sounds good to me.

His grandfather also coached at Tollesboro. Great family. I am thrilled for them and Robbie.:thumb:

Congrats to Robbie,Always great to see the 10th Region guys having success!

Congratulations to Robbie and his family. He has a fine set of parents and grandparents. As the scorekeeper from Mason, I have worked several games that Robbie has played in and is nothing but a class act. Always very respectful to those working at the score table. Over the last few years he has done everthing possible to beat my ala mater Royals and now he is heading to EKU to try to beat my ala mater Murray State. I am sure you will give it your all. I wish you nothing but success and see you in the fall.

Congratulations to Robbie. I think he has chosen a place where he can see quite a bit of playing time early in his career. It's always good to see 10th Region kids do well. He's earned it for sure.

Stenzel makes it official

Robbie+Stenzel0710.jpgClark County High School standout Robbie Stenzel made it official, signing on Thursday afternoon with Eastern Kentucky University.

The 6-foot-4 Stenzel is considered one of the top-10 prospects in the state of Kentucky and is on pace to become the all-time leading scorer at Clark County. He averaged 17 points, five rebounds and four assists as a junior and already has over 1,500 career points. Stenzel was a first-team All-State selection on The Courier-Journal's All-State team last season.

Congrats Robbie, glad to see a 10th region player going on to the next level.
