August 5, 201016 yr I agree with you UKMF about Votto being snubbed. He got tons of publicity from that.
August 5, 201016 yr I agree with it will come down to who wins the division. No doubt Votto deserves to be right there though and if the season ended today I think he would win.
August 5, 201016 yr Maybe some of the rumors floating around last season caused some of his peers to discriminate against him. Just an observation.
August 5, 201016 yr Right now yes... Bu we all know how Albert historically does down the stretch of the season. It's gonna be fun to watch.
August 5, 201016 yr He should definatley be in the top 3, if not top 2. Pujols has the name recognition, and that will be hard to overcome if the Reds can't overtake the Cards in the standings. Votto is definately deserving.
August 5, 201016 yr As good as Votto has been, I could make an argument that Brandon Phillips is the most valuable player on the Reds this year. Will Phillips' excellent season cost Votto some votes for MVP?

Will Phillips' excellent season cost Votto some votes for MVP? You could make and argument that Brandon Phillips is the Reds MVP--but then you'd lose that argument. Phillips is having a good season but he isn't going to steal any MVP votes from Votto.
