I don't think Paul would be a huge dropoff. He would hit you .240-.250 and give you Gold Glove caliber play in the field. Not a bad player.

Janish has a career average of .216, until he proves other wise over a long period of time I have no reason to think he won't be what his baseball cards says.

However, not being on the 40 would cause problems, so I think they'll go with the guy that they know what they'll get with, and that's Sutton. I have no problem with them giving some everyday playing time to Janish though.

How about seeing what Bruce can do hitting in front of Votto?
August 3, 201016 yr Author Why would Cozart be smarter than Valaika? Well it would depend on who is going to get the majority of the playing time. Cozart is a much better fielder than Valika from everything I've read.
