August 4, 201016 yr No. I'd give everyone the extra day off. Leake seems not to do well w/ extended rest and Cueto wasn't himself last time out after throwing his most pitches all season the start before that. It would give them Leake, Cueto, and Arroyo right? If Leake doesn't do well his next start I could see him going to the DL and Bailey taking over the 5th spot for two weeks. That would have Leake pitching on the 6th day not the 5th.
August 4, 201016 yr That would have Leake pitching on the 6th day not the 5th. They would all go on the 6th day not the 5th. I hope that's what they decide.
August 4, 201016 yr Wow, this ump is squeezing Cueto big time. I htink Cueto gets squeezed every game
August 4, 201016 yr Janish has had two big hits his last two ABs....2-5 thus far... Let's hope it continues. Maybe he can build some confidence batting in the 8 hole. Much easier to hit there than 2nd.
August 4, 201016 yr BP leans his elbow to get HBP, not given 1st base. Biggio would have gotten away with that with all the armor he used to wear.
August 4, 201016 yr The Reds hitting approach sometimes really baffles me.... Didn't we have a huge discussion on this already, but I also agree.
August 4, 201016 yr Biggio would have gotten away with that with all the armor he used to wear. Maybe, but the only way Brandon could have made it more obvious was to call it before the pitch was thrown. Hey, I'm leaning my elbow out if it's close.
August 4, 201016 yr Didn't we have a huge discussion on this already, but I also agree. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with swinging at the 1st pitch or early in the count, but when a pitcher has thrown near 50 pitches in 2 innings and is seemingly working every hitter to 2-2 or 3-2 counts, I think you're best served to be patient, or at the very least if you are going to be swinging, make sure it's a strike.
