November 19, 201015 yr I am not speculating. The Bengals went to the playoffs last year by running the ball. This year they are trying to keep the enormous egos happy by throwing the ball. Benson is on pace for more carries than last year.

In 2009 Then Bengals ran the ball 505 times in 16 regular season games, in 2010 they have ran the ball 224 time in 9 games. I guess you were not aware that Cedric Benson wasn't their only back in 2009. So they did run the ball more in 2009.
November 19, 201015 yr Furthermore, the Bengals are 26th in the NFL in rushing attempts this year and finished 9th in 2009. Ironically those rankings are the exact opposite in 2010. 26th in passing attemps in 2009 and 9th in 2010.

An astute football fan would know that when you fall behind by double digit margins like the Gals have, you have to pass the ball to attempt to try and come back. Let's see Benson, the Bengals best running back, missed three games last year and they still ran the ball more than they did this year.
