TO signs one year deal with Bengals

Featured Replies

I bet you have tried to sell someone the Brooklyn Bridge before. Sorry but I'm not buying that one.

Let's see Benson, the Bengals best running back, missed three games last year and they still ran the ball more than they did this year.

Not buying what? I wasn't selling you anything.

I didn't take any astuteness to realize from the day they signed him that Owens would not help them win.

Insert sleeping smiley.

Whoops, kinda misread your post. Please accept my apologies.

Aren't you Mr. Exhibit A? I think you are. So with the Bengals at 2-7 do you still think the signing was a good idea. If so you should change your user name to Mike Brown.

I'm saying without TO, this team would be lucky to be 2-7. While they're doing worse than last year, there are a myriad of reasons they're doing worse and none of those reasons is TO.

I have to ask. This should be good. So you believe the Gals would have a better record if they hadn't signed TO?

2-8 after lossing to the mighty Bills. I can say with certainty that they were better before they signed him and couldn't be much worse if they didn't. You guys seem to forget that basically the same roster minus Owens made the playoffs last year. Once again 2-8 speaks volumes.

Now I have to ask, and this should be better. How many less wins do you think they would have if they hadn't signed that cancer of a wide receiver? Before you answer in the Bengals 2 wins this year Owens had a combined 7 catches for 99 yars and 0 TDs.

Last year Owens had 55 receptions for 829 yards and 5 TDs. His replacement this year, UK grad Stevie Johnson, has 44/591/6 with 6 games to go. Looks like the Bills upgraded.

TO has 8 TD 850+ yards this year with 6 games today so.... Looks like the Bengals upgraded.

So faced with the undeniable facts that the Bengals have went from a playoff team to the top draft choice and Owens had nothing to do with their two wins, do you still think it was a good signing?

Yeah and there is no question about it really. I hate to think of how much worse this offense would be without him.

Does it matter how much worse the offense is or could be? The team is 2-8 and he had nothing to do with the 2 wins. The real question is how much of a negative effect on team chemistry has he been. Let me say that its not just Owens its the entire bunch. Think about it, how many of these guys were cast off from the Cowboys after they wreck one of their seasons. I believe Jones, Johnson, and Owens were all ran out of Dallas. Apparently Owens was he straw that broke the camel's back.

But hey, they make up for it by being stars of bad reality tv shows.

Excellent move! In 4 months when he is helping the Bengals win games' date=' then everyone who disagrees will say that it was the greatest move ever.[/quote']

Well it's been 4 months and nobody is saying it's the greatest move ever.

Anyone who doesn't think this is a good move is either dead set on hating the Bengals or just doesn't know football.

Exhibit A of what I'm talking about folks...

:lol::lol:

This is a great move by the Bengals.

Anyone who doesn't think so is simply blinded by their dislike of T.O.

I guess I was blinded.

They do have a great D. You either don't know football or you are just letting your hate for the Bengals cloud your judgment.

So who doesn't know football?

Or maybe its the other way around.

I will be here to say I told you so when Owens wrecks the season. He is a cancer, period. The only arguement against so far is that he doesn't act like a selfish turd the first season he is with a new team. I know enough about football and sports in general to realize that guys like Pacman Jones and Terrell Owens are not good for any organization. And one more time there is a reason Owens was so cheap.

:sssh:

I thought we were talking about Defesnse? Simply look at the FACTS. They were a top 5 D last year. No reason to think they can't do the same thing year. Very obvioulsy you have something against T.O. get over it.

:lol::lol:

Lots of good post in this thread. So many I ran out off space in my previous post.

As was Roy Williams....scary to think about what this defense can do this year with everyone healthy. They're absolutely loaded with depth.

Top 5 without Odom and Peko being hurt some throughout the season. The Bengals will easily be on of the top 3-5 defenses again this year. :thumb:

For a laughing stock organization the Bengals sure have a confident fan base.

1. Great Defense

2. Nobody can cover them man to man

Seriously enjoy the honeymoon because Terrell Owens will break your heart.

Or maybe its the other way around.
