MLB CY Young and MVPs....

Featured Replies

I'm glad somebody posted Pavano. I've won a lot of money on him late. He has been on fire!

Buster Posey hasn't played a full season but he is in a ZONE!

Roughly one month later, who you all got?

NL MVP - Albert Pujols (He's on fire, and as much as I like Votto, Pujols has a better chance at the Triple Crown IMO.)

NL CY Young - Adam Wainwright

AL MVP - Miguel Cabrera (if not him Robinson Cano gets it IMO.)

AL CY Young - C.C. Sabathia

NL CY Young - JJ

NL MVP - Howard (Though Votto or Pujols could take this)

AL CY Young - I think this is a lot more wide open. Cliff Lee, David Price, Jon Lester, and CC have all pitched well. I think ultimately CC gets it.

AL MVP - Miggy

My AL stays the same with CC strengthening up his position as well. Hamilton could get the MVP but in the end I still think Miggy gets it.

I think Wainwright is now the favorite for NL Cy Young. The NL MVP is now clearly between Pujols and Votto. I'm gonna lean towards Pujols ultimately taking it.

Votto on cover of SI this week, might help his buzz a little and get people talking about him.

I think Clay Buchholz has to be among the front-runners for AL Cy Young winners as well. He's leading the league with a 2.26 ERA. The next closest pitcher is at 2.51. He is also 15-5. I don't necessarily think he should be the leader but he should be getting mentioned more than he has. The pitching of him an Lester have kept the Red Sox afloat with all the injuries they have. Since they are in the AL East and still 5.5 games out they have been a little under the radar but the Sox are still 19 games over .500--even with all the injuries.

AL MVP: battle between Cabrera and Hamilton for MVP

Al Cy Young: Lean towards Price right now

NL MVP: Pujols or Votto

NL Cy Young: Johnson with Wainwright a close 2nd.

AL MVP: I am going with Hamilton since the Tigers have fell off the map.

AL Cy Young: Still wide open

NL MVP: two horse race with Pujols and Votto

NL Cy Young: Wainwright is now in the lead but a lot right on his tail

Hamilton for al MVP

Price for Cy Young

Votto in the NL.

And how about Tim Hudson for the Cy Young.

Adam Wainwright will be the NL Cy Young, and deservedly so.

NL

Votto- Will be Pujols if the Cards win the division, and rightfully so.

Wainwright

AL

Hamilton

Price

Carlos Gonzalez of the Rockies has really flown under the radar. Going into today, he is 4HR behind Pujols, three RBIs behind Votto, and leads the NL in batting at .335, which is 11 points higher than Votto.

I think his K:BB ratio is to bad. I know it's not a big stat, but his is absolutely horrid

Not anymore.

How many AB's does he need to qualify and will he get them before the end of the season?

Typically it is 502 plate appearances.

Your right. Last 4 starts have taken him out of contention for now.
