January 24, 201115 yr Officially jealous. The little local auction house that I most often frequent is an interesting place. Much of what comes in there is from a couple that buys storage units around Cincinnati (think "Storage Kings" but on a much smaller scale). A great deal of it is junk; and a typical evening for me is to sit for 3 hours and bid on a handful of times, spending around twenty bucks a night. Most of what I buy is to re-sell on eBay; the occasional item to keep for the house or as a present for wife or daughter. Best e-Bay finds - an old book that I bought for $1.50 and sold for $132 and an autographed baseball that I bought for $2 and sold for $151. Those are few and far between, however. The auction is almost as much a social networking exercise as it is an exercise in commerce. The records are purely for me.:thumb:
