Orton goes to Orlando and moves to backup to the backup. He will have plenty of time to develop.

Hayes has a team option for next year which is very likely they don't pick up now that they have Patterson.

I think they'll move Scola instead. Hayes is cheaper and they could move Scola and a few other players for some more good pieces to put around Yao and Brooks.

??? Spell Howard??? Trade bait?? Howard going to be a Power Forward?? Orton a potential power forward?? Or is this simply a long term plan?? I vote last option.

That makes no sense. I would think they will be trading Orton.

I think they're trying to make some moves this off-season. I'd say Gortat will be part of that.

How long before Larry Orton is complaining that Daniel should be playing ahead of Dwight Howard?

Scola's contract ran out this year.

Bledsoe has played PG his entire life before learning to adjust off the ball last season. He will not be "learning" to play the position nearly as much as you think. Crawford is a volume shooter that is very likely to never see the number of shots needed to ever succeed. Plus Crawford has an attitude problem I don't see fitting in as a young NBA player. Your boy once told me he was the only person in the X program he didn't care for FWIW...

GT, you see lots of great athletes every year that play PG in high school because a)the coach wants the ball in the best player's hands as much as possible and b)they can blow by most high school boys.

You're not trying to tell me that his high school experience makes him ready to play PG in the NBA, right?

Crawford is a better PG right now.

Crawford is a better 2 guard right now.

"My boy" must have been having a bad JCraw day that day. He's a fan of he kid.

You also watch enough college ball to know that PG in

Scola's contract ran out this year.

You're right, I forgot about that. Isn't Hayes cheap though? I'd imagine they'd keep him, I don't think he makes very much at all.

2.3 Mil but it's a team option. They have no reason to pick it up.

Bledsoe was considered by many the 3rd best PG in the class. The kid can play the position. Is he ready for the NBA yet? Nope. Very few PGs are at 19. I will be highly surprised if Crawford ever reaches 6th man status in his career. The ceiling for Bledsoe is much higher...

Hoping Born Ready can fall to the Lakers somewhere down the board.
